Bubble king mini 160

Whos running this skimmer and on what size tank and bio load ? whats your thoughts on it , any info is greatly appreciated

I've been through about 6 different skimmers and have finally landed on the mini 160

Running it on a 90g relatively high bioload and nutrient system. Absolutely love it. Foam is so frothy and it's built like a tank. I'm sure I could run it on a larger tank

I'm running it, total water is over 160g, I'm over working it, need to upgrade. Works good tho.

I've been using a gen1 BK mini160 on a 90g for years now. Works great! I love the BK mini series skimmers. Quiet, reliable, sexy, and a small footprint

Bought a used one because it was a good deal. Really nice unit but notice it uses lots of power. 1.8 Amps

That seems high. It's only supposed to draw 18 watts

Don't know what can cause it to draw that much of current. Maybe it needs a vinegar bath.
