So I was wondering if somebody could help me out with IDing whatever this is on the side of my toadstool frag? I want to believe it's a new head growing but it doesn't really resemble any pics I've seen of what it should look like. Thanks!

Bubble algae. Do not pop the bubbles in the tank as it can spread quickly. Remove the Frogspawn and scrape off the bubbles in a separate container. Then gently rinse with tank water in a separate container, and place back in tank.

Thanks for the help guys. I considered bubble algae also, but I thought it was odd that it would grow on the coral like that without showing signs anywhere else in the tank. Oh well, I'll go ahead and remove it asap.

The bubble algea prob came with the frag. Just a little added bonuso_O

Ridiculously common, and dips like CoralRx don't get rid of it. Got to scrub it off, if you can see it in the first place.

Ended up with some in my tank. Emerald crabs cleaned it up. I picked it off and popped some trying to remove. I also rinsed it off in tank water.

Like everyone said it should be easy to remove but if more pop up you might consider getting an emerald crab. I always like to try the natural ways before I try any other route.
