Bubble magnus curve 5 elite water depth

I’m looking at this skimmer what water depth are you guys running it at? Also do you like these skimmers? I’m going to hook it up to a 75 gallon tank is there any other skimmers I should look at? Thanks

I have one and it is a good skimmer. My problem is tat I have it on a 40b that only has 3 fish, so it is pretty inconsistent. On a larger or more stocked system I think the consistency would not be an issue. Mine is in about 9".

I have a 75 g with a 40g breeder sump, i use a curve 7 and never had any problems with it. Over course of 6-7 yrs ive needed to replace 2x needle wheels was it

I have one on a 120 gal tank, 20 gal sump and it works great in about 8" of water

I have my curve 5 elite on my 80G with 30G sump(roughly 85G total), I run mine in 8 inches of water and it's very consistent for me.

I will note that it took nearly a mionth for it to properly break in where it wasn't either pulling water or nothing at all.

I have mine hooked up to an external container, but all I do is clean the cup about once a week.
