Bubble Magnus Intake Stuck

Got this second hand. Was trying to take it apart to clean but this intake is stuck. I tried a wrench but that's just marring the surface. Am I screwed?

I would just clean what u can get to...that piece might be glued in place to make it water tight.

That peice should come off the pump and is only friction fit. I would try running it in some 50/50 mix of water and vinegar to see if it will loosen up some to get it to come off.
