Bubble Magus Curve 5 not skimming?

I have the elite model with the sicce pump ive been thinking about trying the bubble plate but the skimmer is just a beast on my tank ive got it in 8" of water out of the box and making skimate in 24 hours

i run it a little on the wet side. That probably a week or so of skimate.

For sure. I'll be honest I dont see a great difference between the cone mod and plate to be honest. Maybe more bubbles. But with just the plate you can adjust the water flow and get same desired effect.
I am running factory pump it's perfectly good for me however I do have the sicce mod if I ever wanted to change it out.
Yeah I'm running mine more dry and sludge is al thicker and nastier lol

Ok heres mine @ 5 inches submerged. I know it's a little more on the drier side. And you can adjust for more intake but I like it here as it gets most of the fines out.
My parameters may be running a little low like this but I am dosing to keep correct levels.
Notice my drain line is directly above intake. I've set my whole system up like this throughout my whole system so I'm sure outside of surface evap everything is making it back to my sump and my Skimmer is finishing the work.
Also please note that water level inside cone is 3/4 of an inch above water submersion level on the cone with my intake sitting at 3.

I absolutely love my Curve 5. I dropped it into just over 7” of water in my sump, plugged it in and set it just below Max.

It started skimming quickly and every Sunday I pull a roughly half full cup of black filth out. It’s worked perfectly for me in its stock configuration and I have not had to adjust it. Here is what mine has pulled out of a 50 gallon system in five days.

I have found that snails keep getting into the nozzle and blocking the pump from intaking water. So what i did was put a piece of mesh around the intake nozzle to keep them out. So far it is working great!
