Bubble magus Curve 5

I’ve been looking for an appropriately sized skimmer for my 125. The Bubble magus says it’s rated up to 140 gallon but Should I go a size up?

I have one on my 90 and I don't think it would handle a 125. On another note, not the most consistent skimmer.

I had a Curve 5 on my 120 - just upgraded to the Curve 7. The Curve 5 just isn't big enough if you are going to have more than a couple fish.

I would recommend another skimmer. Having endless problems with my Curve 5 and when I posted this had a lot of folks replying with problems.

How do you tell when your skimmer isn’t big enough?

My Curve 5 works great in my 100 gallon, but I am not overstocked on fish or inverts. Constant 6 - 7" of water though

I may have change my mind. The Eshopps Axium x-160 series looks like for the price and footprint in my sump is good choice.
