Bubble Magus Curve 7 Foaming...

Ok I have this new Curve 7 it's been up and running now continuous for 100 hours or so and it will not stop foaming and I mean it's pretty much billowing out, sits in my sump in 9 in. of water. Have any of you got experience with these skimmers and is this normal for a break in period?

Generally they take a week to start off. But may others can have better insight #reefsquad

Is it a new aquarium that you have setup? When I put mine together all the beneficial bacteria that was added and was on the Carib Sea shape rock I put in drove the skimmer nuts for about a month then one day everything worked. I started the skimmer every couple days to see if it would operate correctly if not I turned it off.

Yes it is a new tank and I am doing the same as you and using the Carib Sea life rock also so probably nothing to worry about then and wait for it to break in, thanks.

Yep. My LFS warned me about it. When they said a month I didn’t believe it but they were right on.

Yeah I put a shut off on the waste tube and am just leaving it open so it just drains back into the sump until it gets broke in.
