Hey guys,
I just picked this skimmer up but I am wondering if anybody has any experience with these? I think it is the same as the curve 7 but with a D/C pump. What water depth do you run them in? It may be just about the quietest skimmer I have ever heard so far.

Here are some pics

So nobody has used this skimmer yet?

Hope I didn’t make a mistake. :(

Pretty good, it’s all broken in now and very consistent but the stuff it pulls out is not nearly as dark as it used to be on my reef octopus classic 225. Really liked that skimmer but it was a pain to keep clean and boy was it loud. Will say this skimmer is still super quiet.wish it had some kind of valve to controls the air input.

I will tell you what guys, it took me a while to really get this skimmer dialed in but I is still super quiet and pulls out consistently dark nasty stuff. Still interested in hearing if anybody else is using it?

I just started running bio pellets and am hoping it will be strong enough to keep up with the funk that the pellets are going to put off.

You've been running it for a while, how is it working out now? I'm looking at Bubble Magus but there are so many models I'm having a hard time sorting them out. Curve 7, Curve 7 Elite, A8, etc...

I will say I love this thing. It’s quiet and it pulls out nasty stuff. That being said I will probably be selling it soon, I got a couple non photosynthetic gorgonians and I have been dumping a ton of food in the tank and my phosphates have been on the rise. I have had such a good experience with this skimmer though so I will most likely be replacing I with the A9. ( or whatever the curve 9 size skimmer is called in this dc pump configuration).

And in hindsight It really wasn’t that hard to tune, I think I am inpatient:)

I like how the A models have 2 ways to adjust the water level the main handle and there is a secondary opening on the other side of the pump and the openings are on the floor plate of the skimmer so I never and any problems with micro bubbles
