Anyone know where to get the bubble magus medium roller filter replacement rolls? I have only seen the large for sale. Has anyone used non bubble magus rolls and if so what kind? Thanks much, Eric

I contacted Seaside Aquatics (who is the US distributor) and they said medium replacement fleece rolls are on the way. I went ahead and ordered a roll from Aliexpress for $20, and received it in two weeks from China.

Depends on what the opening diameter is. And the outside diameter. And if it has a collection roll. The BM one is $20 so $14 cheaper.Wonder if this one will work. Its also 6” and 20 microns ( not sure what the bubble magus is ). This is for clarisea rollers.

I got mine from aliexpress last week. Just over two weeks. It’s the same and in BM packaging.Yeah Im wondering if they discontinued the roller filter since I can’t find it on bm website. The one Im getting from aliexpress shuld be here any day. I ordered on 14th so shoukd be about 2weeks total and that aint bad. If it is right size I may order 5 more lol. I emailed aquacave or some place like that probably close to 3 weeks ago and they said should be in stock within 2 weeks.
I found this thread as I was considering one of these filters. They don't show on BM website and I got no response when I emailed them . I see other rolls that are 6" but I guess that isn't the only issue. Also, does anyone know the actual footprint in the sump ?
Thanks we are lucky that we are in the rolling blackout club because a lot have been without power for days and have lost everything. Some havent lost power at all. It just seems so wrong the way it has been handled. Thanks for the info!! I really haven't found any negative reviews on it. One site lists the "submerged section" as 6.5x6.5. I was wanting to put it in the first chamber with a skimmer. Allowing for a planned Curve 7 it would leave me with 8 deep x 12wide to work with. It's a 125g DIY sump so I could move baffles if need be but rather not. I saw a youtube where a guy simply cut a hole in the block off plate and installed a elbow thus giving two inlets. I hope your situation improves. Weather in PA has been a ***** but so far no power issues.
There are three sizes now and all have different dimensions. I have the original ARF-1 which is now their Medium and uses the 6" rolls. I use 3/4" PVC pipe for the drain from my overflow and it fits perfectly inside the included metric pipe that the flexable drain tubing would go over. It looks way cleaner and there are no clamps. So for the Medium, you will need 10" in length (which accommodates the elbow and drain pipe or tubing), 8.25" in width (8" if there is no "lip" on your sump. My sump is a 20 gal long and has a 1/2" lip or trim inside the glass) and 11" depth/height. Now if you add a second drain on the opposite side of the first one, you will have to account for another 2.5" in length to accomidate the second elbow and drain pipe. Thanks for the info!! Thanks. That's great info. I would be getting the medium. It's an older Marineland tank I got used so I wouldn't have a problem doing some surgery on the trim if need be. I'll have 2 1" drains so a second elbow would be nice. As luck would have it, I just siliconed the baffles in last week with the first being 12" from the end. If I end up redoing it, this won't be the first time and probably not the last. LOLThere are three sizes now and all have different dimensions.
