Bubble Magus problems

Short and simple:
Has anyone ever had to maybe break in their skimmer a second time? New tank has been up and running for a few weeks now and I already started cycling. As my tank water went low (ATO comes tomorrow) I paused my pump for 5 minutes which I’ve done before no problem. This time though, my skimmer bubbles are going crazy and keep over flowing over the top and no matter how I adjust the dial they keep going up whether it’s minimum flow or maximum flow. Please help!!

Place something under the skimmer to raise it up and out of the water more.

Egg crate or pvc coupler adapters.

Some ppl have fancy skimmer stands made from acrylic and are adjustable.

Yeah that’s pretty technical, also I’ve seen people using like the porous bio slabs

The only thing is that my skimmer had been working fine before this so idk
