Bubble magus protein skimmer elite curve 7

I have been trying to set up for a week and having problems. I have the pump running again but the water coming up isn’t fine bubbles it’s wild water like in a whirlpool. I can’t seem to tighten the cap over the pump thats exiting into tube. I have adjusted height bought 2 stands neither of them helped. I just need it to push up the fine bubbles into neck and fall into cup. Any suggestions? Thanks

The fine bubbles come from the Venturi inlet that allows air into the inlet. Check the airline or make sure it’s sucking air into the pump.

Do you have the airline connected to the venturi?

There should be a grey plastic piece near the bottom that connects to the inlet of the pump. On top of that piece is a little white nipple that should have an airline attached to it.

It was the grey piece I had to snap it in place and line it up better. Fixed now thank you

Purely out of curiosity, how big of a tank are you running it on?

I have the elite 5 myself, and run it on a pretty decent bioload 80G cube. Works well.

I run my elite 7 for a 150gwllon with 40 sump the 9 was too big for my sump

How has that been workin out? Just grabbed this to throw in a trigger 39 for a 150 display. It sure is compact, how’s it been working out tho?
