The bubbles leaking out of the backWhat's the issue?
I’ve got one of these on a quarantine tank. You mean the bubbles leaving the skimmer body, I think. I played around with the height of the skimmer in the water and put some of the supplied black mesh stuff over the hole. Works great, considering it’s size. Try playing with the height adjustment on the cup also.
Looks like you’ve tightened the screw too much, warping the cup neck. I’ve got mine just pinched. Don’t mess with it to take the cup / neck out, it just slides in and out without messing. Here’s some better pics the bubbles are leaking out of the back from the seam of the skimmer body and the skimmer cup adjuster.
Cup screw was not tightened all the way to the cup neck, the cup neck is just resting in there loose. I raised the neck slightly and tightened it down it seemed to stop now but we will see if it comes back again.Looks like you’ve tightened the screw too much, warping the cup neck. Edit - no it’s not normal. If it’s not the screw, I would take the whole thing out and have a good look at it.
It has seemed to have stopped on its own I think the hole just eventually crusted up with dried skim, the skimmer seems to be working well I am get really dark skimate now that it’s broken in.Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm looking into a p skimmer for my 20 gallon when she's up and running to help with the load.
How long did it take to produce skimmate? It has seemed to have stopped on its own I think the hole just eventually crusted up with dried skim, the skimmer seems to be working well I am get really dark skimate now that it’s broken in.
