Bubble Magus SP2000 pump ... Adaptable or Fail?

I've got an old, old protein skimmer which I'm thinking of attaching to a new pump and what I have in mind is the Bubble Magus SP2000 pump (internal pump of the Bubble Magus Curve 7 skimmer) but from what I've researched is that the optional pump when purchased doesn't come with the venturi attachment ... is this true?
If so how can I acquire the venturi attachment and also if this pump would work on the old fashioned protein skimmer (straight vertical design) unlike the inverted cone shape design of Bubble Magus specification?

Regarding the efficiency of the pump, if the gph/lph match your skimmer size, it should not matter...
