So I got this mushroom yesterday, acculmation was about 2 hours as was delivered cold (no heat packs), seemed ok in bag during acculmation , seen some small amphipods on new frag plug (great snack for mandarin and flame goby), so much stuff happening in my aquriam today!
I looked at frag plug today and it's gone? .... what the heck IMG20220630151326.jpg IMG20220630133706.jpg IMG20220630133638.jpg IMG20220630133449.jpg IMG20220630133355.jpg IMG20220630120315.jpg IMG20220630112200.jpg IMG20220701124546.jpg

Looks like a new fragplug and a quick glue job. Mushroom have feet fir anchors and if they dint like the anchoring, they detach and float off.

It may show back up.

Check the sump if the PH didn't chew it up

Mushrooms can detach, especially if they have not been on a plug for that long. It’s somewhere, hopefully not having gone through a power head :anguished-face:

Yes I read alot on mushroom before purchasing, I placed behind my mushroom rock to try to reduce flow (Flow is very little) on bottom of aquriam with little light.
I thought same with footing, not attached for long enough on new surface so glue was temporarily holding :(

Yeah looks like it was on a small piece of rock that was cut and glued to the frag? It could have been moving onto the plug and just detached. I hope you find it!

I have never had to use one but there are cages for mushrooms that people use for fresh frags for this very reason, until it fully attaches. But coral sellers should typically only sell established frags after that has been done, just like waiting until an SPS is encrusted some

I hope not but understand it can happen, I'm so P off at myself...

I thought it was great attached to new frag plug, no pests or transfer of algae/or hitchikers , so mad at myself, I thought I covered all in research

Follow your flow and check your dead spots and areas it could get hung up. It's in there somewhere.
