Ok so I have been having a little issue with bubble producing algae, not bubble algae tho, I believe they are two different things? Anyways I've got a decent amount of what I call hair algae that appears to be a mossy green color, and there's always bubbles all over my stuff. This is a new one for me...
I know my phosphates are a bit high... I have a problem over feeding. I know I feed to much.
I recently removed my chemipure elite, but I have cheato in my sump. I just threw a bag of purigen in my overflow box, but will this problem get worse? Or do I have to wait it out for phosphates to go down? Will it die off on its own once phosphate goes down?
It's funny cause for a while all my algae and crap stayed in my sump. Now my sump is clean and my dt is a mess.
I should add I recently added a rb led unit.
Always dealing with something in this hobby it seems.... Gets frustrating sometimes.
Thanks in advance

Since you said you know you have a problem feeding that would be the best place to start as far as reducing nutrients in your tank. Try to cut back on feeding.
Are you using RODI water for your top off and water changes?

Yes I am using rodi. I've cut back on feeding the past few days.

I feel like they've gone down since I last tested a couple of nights ago

Pretty high still imo
Work on gettin it down, have you tried using a reactor with gfo? I have not had any luck with using the media in a bag myself. My reactor works fantastic though.

I haven't. I only run the sump and a protein skimmer

Thanks, that's a lot to take in.
Why can't my tank just be happy for crying out loud. Now I don't know what I'm dealing with....
As soon as its starting to look good, all this nonsense
