Bubble tip and long tentacle anemones?

So I currently have a long tentacle anemone in my 75 gallon tank. Would getting a bubble tip be okay in the same tank?

That tanks looks really new. Any anemone is going to be an up hill battle.

I don’t believe in the chemical warfare theory. But some anemones have a more powerful sting that will beat out another anemone to move away. If anything, anemones often come to us sick which causes bacterial infections to each other.

I never had any issues keeping BTA and LTA together. But I had many issues keep LTA and powerheads together. They all met their demise that way. Any small damage to a LTAs foot and it’s a goner. Also know that your LTA will change its color. Don’t be alarmed as this happens.

You can add a BTA. Just know that they do wonder around and split often. Actually they are like weeds in my tank.

Agree. I have a good variety of them. ( bubble, long tentacle,carpet and rock anemone ) all in a 120. They seem to move if one gets in the way or too high for others to reach.

Agree. Here's a picture of my LTA and a beaded living in my bare bottom 20 gallon tank.(I've tried to tell them that they're sand dwelling anemones but they have a mind of their own.

Please tell me more about long tip changing colors. I got one a few months ago and assumed it was bleaching. I started feeding it more regularly and it has color coming back.

All anemones go through a change of color depending on its condition. They could also lose pigment and zoozanthaelle from ocean to your tank. Or even from one tank to another depending on conditions and how stressed they are.

So over time as you nurse the health of the anemone back, it colors back up. Then they grow like weeds and take over your tank, then your mind and become an obsession.

I have two LTA’s and three Bubble tips. I haven’t had an issue with it
