Just over a week ago we got a rbta good size from our lfs. We also picked up 3 Blue Gudgeon Goby at the same time. They finally came out for most of the day after a week of hiding beside when it’s time to eat. Now today only two can be found. Moved a few rocks. And no sign of jumping as I did build a nice top with very little if any to jump out of. My wife said it got bigger then ever today and said the anemone foot look big as well

So the question is will a well feed rbta (every 3 days it been feed) eat a Blue Gudgeon Goby?

Simple answer is no; a healthy fish wont get eaten by an RBTA. It is far more likely that it succumbed to something else; a CUC will make short work of anything that takes a digger in the tank (crab, shrimp, bristleworms, etc.). Over the past 20+ years, it has been extremely rare that I've seen the fish that died (and sadly, there have been many). The freaks truly come out at night and they will make short work of anything.

With that said, 99% of the time a healthy fish won’t be eaten by a cuc either. My bet is he’s hiding, or died and indeed did get chowed by the nem.

Have you checked your overflow? Or carpet? Or sump? I lost a cardinal to the sump God’s. Didn’t find him for a good 6 months.

I wasn't talking about a healthy fish, I was eluding to a fish that died and the CUC made short work of it. The other options are certainly valid as well.

Alive and well surprisingly. I was in my garage where my sump was and noticed this black and silver stripe swimming around. Looked and it was him. Lol. I wasn’t running socks so he slipped on through

Funny thing is I have a good 40’ of plumbing before the first sump. 3 baffles, and another tank later...there he was

Wow that’s awesome how did he eat? Did some food get managed to get sucked down to the sump?

I had a yellow watchman that vanish. Found him Hidding under the skimmer in the sump seven months later..
