I own a bubble tip anemone and whenever I turn on my aquarium lights, it closes up and appears unhealthy. When I turn off the lights and keep the tank a little darker, it opens up and appears healthy. Why is this and is there a type of lighting which will resolve this?

12 gallon jbj nano cube
Fluorescent lighting

Depending on the wattage and color of the lights, the nem might not be happy. By having lower light levels and a happier anemone, says something is definitely wrong.

There are T5 (florescent) lights designed to help keep anemones alive and thriving

Anemones are weird things.
My bubble tip headed straight to the bottom of the tank and hid in a cave, away from the light. He was like that for 3 weeks and in that time I lowered the intensity of my Hydra 26's running a mostly blue schedule and it still wouldn't come out of hiding.
Out of desperation I adjusted my lights to run AB+ at full power and lo and behold, out came the anemone.
