I have a orange bubble tip anemone in my tank but it seems to have dropped in health(colour, size) after the 2 month mark. When i bought the nem i had high nitrate about 30-40 and it was doing very well. Expanding nicely and bubbling up. Then as i did my water changes my nitrates dropped to almost undetectable (0.2). And thats when i noticed my nem start to decline.... is it something to do with the nitrates? Do nems need nitrates?? Also it has started to deflate every morning then inflate later in the day. It never did that before until last week. Constantly deflating and inflating. My params are stable but i just dont think im doing anything right for thr nem atm. Maybe lighting is playing a part in the decline in health but im not sure cause i didnt really change my hydra settings from when i first got it. I need some help with the settings. Not sure if too much light or not enough light. I think its starting to bleach . My settings are below so please tell me if i have to make any changes. My tank is a 25g all in one lit with a hydra 26hd.

how long have you had your tank?
I had a lot of problems until after the one year mark
Now I have 2 bta. One is 1.5 years. That one was sort of like yours in the beginning. I feel if they make it over the hump they will survive. Otherwise not. In hind sight, I would probably just give it to someone who has a mature tank and try again in a few months if I were you but that is just my 2 cents. I may be wrong. I have known to kill some btas and feel like I should have done more to keep them alive.

My tank is 2 years old lol I thought idt be ready for a nem. I had a 2 gallon pico tank with a small nem in it for 8 months before my electricity died and the tank crashed. And the nem was put in the moment the tank was set up. Just a HOB filter on that 2g pico ahahaha not sure how i had better luck on a new 2g pico than my current 2 year old tank....

Just the change in params could have an affect on nem, but I agree you don't want too sterile either, or fast changes in params.

This is how it looks every morning. Then later in the day it opens up.
