Hello everyone and I am starting this thread because I want to be able to help others with reviving anemones. I was at my local LFS today when I saw this anemone labeled as a pacific long tentical and I new it was wrong right away. I knew it was a bubble tip right off just not sure what color because it was bleached out. Here is a pic from the LFS.

I decided not to buy it but go home and do some research on how to bring back bleached out anemones. And I of corse decided I wanted to try just not for the $40 he wanted. Now I already have a LTA that is rather large as shown here with my maroon clown.

I will be upgrading to a 75 from my current 55 soon the tank build is under way and I wanted to sell my LTA and clown and get a bubble tip with a pair of clowns most likely Picasso clowns. Here is my 75 in progress.

So after a few hours I went back to the LFS and I was able to convince the owner that it was bleached out and not happy. So he sold it to me for $5. After I got home and did all my acclimating I put it in the tank and it looked better then it did at the LFS. It was definitely bleached but under my Chinese led (witch I love by the way) I noticed it had a tiny of green to it. So I am assuming it's a green bubble tip. Here it is under my led during the day and under just actinic led.

Now it did move a little at first but as stayed put for several hours with the lights off. So what I'm planning is feeding it every day for a while until it gets it color back then cutting back to just once a week feedings like I do with my LTA.

So let me know what you guys think and I will update as often as I can on the nem. I would love to hear any ideas anyone has on this process and let me know what you think. Thanks guys.

No that was the LTA under my old 4 54w t5 fixture. Here he is under the led and they are the Mars Aqua 165 watt dimmable led I paid 192 with shipping for them on eBay. They have only ben on for 3 days so I can give a proper review on them yet but so far I like them.

You are doing it right. We had a bleached BTA, took about 3 months to get some color back. It still isnt back to its full glory, but it must feel decent since it decided to split lol. Keep feeding it, I prefer mysis over brine because it has more nutritional value, but to each his own.

Thank you very much I really want to get this guy healthy again and mysis was more nutritional but I didn't know for sure I will have to try it

Here is the nem after a week he has receded under a rock completely but he is still eating everyday

I am also giting ready to transfer everything from 55 to my new 75 in the next 5 days or so and I was wonder what would be the best way to remove him and my LTA from so I don't hurt the foots so I can do my Aqua scape without having to go around them

To move him, if he is attached to the rock and won't come off freely, you can try and put some ice in a bag near him. He may detach and try to move with the water temp change.

Ok thanks it more the bubble tip I'm woried about then the LTA because the LTA has his foot on the bottom glass
