New to reefing, I bought a used aquarium already stocked. It came with 3 large bubble tip anemones. I’m potentially looking to remove some rock and create space. If I want to take one of the anemones to the store for credit, what is the typical way to do this? Just put it in a bucket and see it they’ll give my anything for it? Do people usually email pictures to stores first? Any advice is appreciated.

Nice looking nem. Just call your lfs and ask. I certainly wouldnt bring it there before knowing if they want it or not.

Call and ask if they do.
My local store will buy corals, fish, and such.
Be prepared. Know how much you want for the item you looking to sell/trade in. Understand the value is going to be lower than you expected. Determine a reasonable price and don’t go below that.
Selling your item on a forum or in some sort of local advertisement will net you more than what you will get from the local reef shop.
