My friend said they split when they are not happy? So you mean whenever they are happy or not they will split by their own?

Yes, when they're not happy they will split bc of survival instinct. Splitting is done to make another copy of itself hoping for the other copy to survive. When happy they will usually split when they reach their max size.

Don't slice it. Unless some special morph they're only with $30. Some nems split frequently, some don't. Stress is a cause just as much as being healthy is.
