Are bubble tip anemones considered a coral??? and if they get to big can I prune them with scissors???

They are not a coral, they are an anemone. Both, however, are animals, not plants. Anemones can release very toxic defensive juices into the water when they experience trauma to tissue, so I recommend getting an anemone and expecting it to reach full size, respecting that it could choose to move anywhere in your tank. Also, they must regularly be fed large(r) food stuff like krill or silverside. @The Aquatic Arsenal is adding some HOT bubble tip anemones to their website today. Really whatever size you find is fine. Any anemone will grow, as long as it is not at max size when you get it, so you don’t really get to pick what size you want long term.OK thanks for the reply. I am in the process of building a 150 gal tank, and I don't want corals right off because this is my first tank in over 20 yrs. 4 to 6 clowns and 2 or 3 yellow tangs. What size anemones would be good for starters Thanks David
