Has anyone dealt with a BTA intentionally going after a rock flower? Both are new and just came today and I placed them far apart enough I thought but the BTS sticks his little arms out as of feeling for something and started heading twd the Rock flower. Mind you this was a hike for the BTA. So he made his way close enough and stretched for the RFA until he finally could touch it. I had no idea what it was doing but terrified I did a quick Google search and was able to read that one of them would win and the other would die. So I quickly moved the RFA as he was easier to get off the Rock. The BTA once again stuck his arms out right in the direction of the RFA and tried to make the journey again. I eventually scooped him up and placed him on the back of my rock scape the furthest away from the RFA as I could. Is this something that's common? Am I not going to be able to keep them in same tank? I have 2 RFAs and another coming!

I though it was weird too. I follow a lot of groups and have never seen anyone have this issue. Maybe they'll stay separated now. I really hope so because I was really excited about these two!

Maybe I’m lucky , but I have multiple species of anemone and sometimes they do touch. Usually would rather not fight and one will move. If a BTA touches the long tentacle it will retract and move on

Ok so maybe they'll work it out at least I hope so lol! Although it sure did look like the bta was ready to murder the rfa and the rfa wasn't backing down. At first I was like awe they're friends and then you could clearly see that wasn't the case. Especially after I moved the bta and he came back for more.

Maybe that spot has the most preferred light or flow or something that they both are moving towards
It's possible that they want the same spot. It's the front of my tank with lower light and moderate to low flow. In fact I have a yuma there hidden in the shadows to the right of the rfa. I guess I'll just keep an eye out and see if the bta makes it back to the rfa.
