Although I can't see the video, if a BTA splits, it is usually due to stress or healthy, but very over fed. Poor water quality will make them split as a means of survival. So perhaps examine your nutrient levels and see if they are elevated.

I have a similar problem, not with constant splitting, but with anemones that are getting over fed. The more food they steal from the fish, the bigger they get, the more they steal ...

Here is a picture hope I got this time

they look healthy ! No problem. Only issue I see is your getting an anemone tank!!! which would crowd out corals if you have them or want them. I had one tank with one that just grew huge and tank now has one that split 3 times. All healthy

Now i know why my rbta split into 3 in a week...hes got an auto feeder sitting right on top that dumps reef roids l, flakes and these pellets i didnt realize sink
So 100% of the pellets that spill in there 2 times a day and however much other food including 2 cubes of frozen every night hes been stealing. Hes one of the prettiest anenomes ive ever seen. I dont know how i got himvthat way cuz he was on the brink of death at one point and i bought another for my clowns who looks like ****. Meanwhile homeboy came back to life turned into a rainbow if massive bubble tipsand is currently taking over the tank.

If the BTA that is splitting is a flame tip, then yes, they have a reputation for splitting more frequently than other BTA's. They are very beautiful, but the splitting and encroaching on other tank mates gets annoying after awhile.

You got a LFS that will buy them? :) $$
Mine gives me ten or twenty bucks for each one I bring in. I think I've brought them three or four already, but I'm at a point that, if I see an opportunity to get one out and it's not convenient to get to the LFS, honestly, I just toss it in the garbage. They're wrecking my corals, one after another. It's becoming a bigger and bigger pain to deal with them. I think I have about 10 of them now and all I can do is stick things in the tank to barricade it from corals and hope it moves in the other direction.

if you plan on having other corals, get rid of them asap before you loose control. tip: I found out that aptaisia-x is pretty good at killing them.

I had 3 that ended up being 49 at one point. I think over feeding and tank stability (stress) may contribute to the splits. Now that I've stop feeding except what that can catch in the water and the tank is mature (8yrs) I haven't had a split in a few years.
