Hi all! I'm into Anemone world not long ago so I still have a lot to learn.
I'm using Current USA Orbit Marine LED system (36~48 in) 72 Dual Daylight/72 Dual Actinic LEDs, 144 LEDs Total. I'm using preset programer M3 with 100% intensity on both channel for 12 hours.
So my question is that light system giving out enough light for my BTA? below is the picture of BTA, if someone can tell me if my BTA is happy or I need more light or reduce the light, thank you.

Most online pictures from google showing these BTA look very compact and not loose like mine so I'm kinda confuse and wonder how my BTA doing in my tank.

How high up in the tank is the BTA?
I don't think that light is that bright, but here is a PAR chart that is pretty accurate: http://current-usa.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Orbit-PAR-Measurements-1.pdf
I don't think that it looks bad, but keep an eye on it

The distance between the light to the BTA when it extend its tentacle around 10 inches, when it retreated to the base then its around 13 inches.
Yeah, I just want to make sure I have enough if not I would add another set of light for them.

I had that light and I can tell you it will not keep a bta. Maybe if you had the bta a few inches below the light it would work but I doubt it. The par ratings on the light are very low and it sounds like they use a lot of chips but they're only a 1/4 watt a piece ( most high end lights use 3 watt chips, some even 5 watt). Unless you have the pro version, that light is very weak. You will most likely see the tentacles of the nem start to shrink and he will start deflating often, this is a sign of starvation. I would ditch that light all together and go for something with a higher par raring. This has just been my experience with that light, maybe someone else has had better luck with it. Good luck :)

Thanks for the experience!
I'm currently searching for new light :) in meanwhile I did move up the BTA very close the surface like 4 inches below water line so they would be ok for awhile.
I'm debating about adding a set of T5 light or getting Kessil LED system.

No problem :) both are excellent options as the kessil is a great light with a lot of research behind it and the t5, well it needs no explanation the results speak for itself. Make sure you keep a close eye on the bta for signs of stress until you make your switch.

I do not like Kessils for grows BTAs. I'm not the biggest fan of T-5, although they are proven technology. I would go with the T-5 over the Kessil.

Thanks all for suggestions, I found 2x dual t5 coral light fixture for cheap and I'm running 4x blue actinic (21w each), since I already have daylight LEDs (white light run at 25% intensity, I don't like too much white bright color) from other light set. I think that will cover the light issue for my BTA.

I found this thread searching for recommendations. I have two BTA's that are getting huge and from what I've read they are searching for more light when they stretch out and get big. I have two Current USA lights on now but I don't think it's enough. What would the best lights be for them? Thanks
