They can be very finicky, and infuriating. However as with most things in this hobby, if you are extremely patient and are committed to making it work, I have 100% confidence you could make it happen.
 
BTA rarely moved once it settled. So you cover up the PH until it settled. I believe reducing light and flow help it stays where you placed it. My 2 BTA hasn't moved from their original spot.
 
I feed mine small pieces of thawed raw shrimp. They latch onto and eat these pieces immediately so I would think that they are hungry. They do not host any clowns. I cannot imagine not feeding an anemone. Of course I also believe that if it has a mouth, it should be fed. I feed mine 2-3 times per week.
