alright... I got this nem about two weeks ago. I think it's a BTA but it resembles a Malu. how do you differentiate. it's currently touching other BTA's with no issues. what say yah? I saw it more inflated for a few days and it does resemble a BTA but the bubbles just aren't too big like my others.

Thanks for any input.

been reading some more about it. I'm reading that a Malu likes sand. this one has been on a LR since I got it. it was attached to a LR at the LFS with a regular GBTA so I picked up both so they didn't have to peel it off the LR. both nems are doing awesome and eating every time I feed. I'm still assuming it's a BTA. I've seen some that have resembled this morph in the past. the most prominent one is a tankful of them by a reefer on her, chappy. :)

If it were a sebae, the bubble tips would have killed it by now, or it would have ran off. Bubble tips sometimes look nothing like bubble tips!

And my sebae anemone attached to a rock and never let go!

Lets see a video :)
will have to take one. it moved to the back section of the tank though. I did take a short vid that will be part of a tank vid in the future. :)

thanks for your input. I was told at the LFS employee (pretty reliable) that it was a BTA. I've seen this morph of BTA before but from the net, there's no morph like it in the Sebae/Malu family.

Nice contrast to your other nems. I've never seen one like it. Good luck with the new addition!

Thanks Gabe. I get a little anxious whenever I add anything to the tank nowadays. I told my self to keep the tank on "cruise control" from here on, besides two pairs of fishes I've been thinking the past week or so that should make for a good addition in the tank. we'll see though. :)

Were you able to see the foot? Same color as the underside of the oral disc or was it yellowish? With and E. quadricolor the foot would be the same color as the underside of the disc.

I'll have to double check on the foot. she was more expanded yesterday (~4-5") and definitely looked like a bubble tip. :)
