I picked up a BTA today. Unfortunately, it didn't want to leave its home at my lfs and its foot was slightly torn. I was given the option not to take it but as the tear didn't look bad, and it was a lovely looking nem, I decided to take a chance.
I positioned the foot in a little crevice, and it attached straight away. However, only about half the foot is attached and I'm assuming that the damaged part has not.
It was getting blown around quite a bit so I have lowered my power heads to about 20% to make sure that it has time to settle.
Can the foot heal, and if so, what sort of time will it take?
I have sps in the tank so don't really want to have such little flow in the display for any length of time.

Just to add, it's looking really good this evening, 8 hours after introduction to my display. Very nice and bubbly. The foot still hasn't fully attached.

They can recover with good parameters which if u have sps ur probably good.
Can happen rather quickly as well. See how he looks in the morn and then turn tour pumps back up....and make.sure theyre covered...

Things are looking good for the little bubble tip. It has moved a few inches and anchored its foot into a small crevice.

I fed it some mysis for the first time today and its feeding response was fast and immediate. Judging by the cleaner shrimp nearly getting stuck to it when attempting to steel some food, the nem is also very sticky.

I really think that he is going to make it.
