Just wondered if anyone keeps any bubble tip nems in there nano mixed reef tanks? More specifically mixed reefs. Would like some pictures and length of ownership. I would like to own one, but my gut feeling and MOST research says no. What is your thoughts?

Yea i keep a couple monsters in a mixed 400g reef. They dont move too much, but if they touch coral it will get hurt. Its a hit or miss.

I have five in my 14 gallon nano( one is 4 In. , two are 3 and a half In. ,one is two and a half In. , and one is an inch and a half) I've owned the 3 larger ones for 2 years and the others for about six months.

How do you keep your bta from growing large?

You splice them. Once they're 5-6" you can pull it out and use a sharp razor blade to make a singular clean cut through the nem (be sure to cut evenly through the mouth). Thus making the nem you want smaller for a bit, and netting a tradable.
