Bubble Trap

Which configuration works best for a bubble trap? I've seen it in pictures built both ways.

The one on the left makes a space that's hard to clean out unless you space it widely. Other than that I think they work about the same. The best thing to do is just not make bubbles.

Good call about being hard to clean. I didn't think about that. Yes not making bubbles would be great but i have a feeling between the roller mat and skimmer there will be at least some bubbles.
