I had bubbles on the dead coral for awhile which I believe is from the red algae but after adding the new light I'm seeing bubbles on all of the rocks.

Are the bubbles new due to the light activating the algae?

Are the bubbles new and due to cooking, the water isn't being warmed and the light is cool to the touch, can luminocity cook without causing heat?

I was told I can't keep the light on top of the tank the way I have it now

Lastly, could this just be that the bubbles weren't visible under the florescent lighting and is now visible with the high level of blue light.

Both. Now visible and is part of cycling and new tank syndrome as the industry calls it.
Reduce white and add blue on the light and no, you do not want light sitting directly on tank . Corals can burn up from high, direct light intensity

Thanks for the assist. Right now there's no way to hang it above the tank as there is a solid shelf above the tank with 1" plywood. The light isn't getting through that, and even if I did hire someone to remove it, there would be no place to put the filter.

The only living coral right now are 3-4 torches in a colony at the bottom of the tank so adjusting the light value and not adding more coral seems to be the only option right now.

Changed to about 75% blue, and 15% white (multi)
