Bubbles

Hi everyone I’m just starting out a small reef tank, 13.5gal. I’m seeing lots of little bubbles coming off my live rock and to a lesser extent off my sand bed. Can someone tell me what these are? TIA

Did you just fill it with water? It can take days for the water to seep through to the middle of the rock and push all the air out. EDIT: I don't think thats what happening here, its from the algae

Your rock is covered in algae, (which type I do not know), and that algae is photosynthesizing. Those bubbles are just little bubbles of oxygen.

No been nearly 2 weeks since water added….

What water did you use? Tap, rodi, lfs water?
Suck out the mess with a turkey baster.

Just use a turkey baster and blast the bubbles off the rock.

LFS are notorious for bad water production.
Have you thought about buying a RODI unit? It will pay for itself eventually.
