Bubbletip anemone wont stick

Just got a large orange rose bubble tip anemone. It was shipped overnight and looks healthy. It has all the bright colors. I acclimated it and when i released it in my tank, it would just float to the surface of the water.

I turned my lights off and my flow. I held it down with a magnetic frag rack and it would move out from under the frag rack and float back to the surface of the water.

I repeatedly brought it back down and held it down and the foot will not stick. Not once.

It is content just floating around. The foot does not look injured? It is definitely still alive because it has all it's colors and purposely moves from the position i put/trap it in and just floats to the top of the water!

Ive googled and people just say it will find a spot. But it cant even find a spot when it just keeps floatin around at the top of the water.

I think it’ll eventually find a spot. You can try to gently hold it over a rock until it grabs on if you think it will. Or just leave it be.

Ive held it over a rock multiple times and it purposely moves away. Never sticks his foot once.

If i let it float on the surface water, does it have the capability to lower itself back down and get seated somewhere in the tank?

Did you set the frag rack on top of it?

How long has your tank been set up? Params? (SG, Alk, Cal, Mag & temp)

Hi, try to get a small plastic container/basket with holes so that your tank water flows through and either use a magnet/suckers to stick to the aquarium glass. Place the container just above your tank water level this way your anemone won’t float everywhere. Place some rocks big enough for the anemone to set its foot down eventually. Also you need to put a temporary cover over the container to stop the anemone escaping. Hope this helps Good luck
