Buckets

I think as everyone progresses through this hobby, they tend to collect buckets. Curious to see if I have an average amount of buckets or lean more toward the hoarding side lol

So how many buckets do you have dedicated to your tank(s)?

Tend to stick to a favorite color?

Any certain brand of bucket (Home Depot, Lowe’s, salt buckets, etc...)?

I will have to count mine tomorrow. I tend to use white buckets for everyday task. I really like my instant ocean ones because they are white and easy to see in and they have lids with gaskets. But have a collection of Lowe’s ones from moving tanks.

I like the "Food Grade" white buckets. I mark them by the gallon level with a black permanent marker on the outside; you can see the marks through the white bucket, so it makes measuring easy.

Oh the buckets...I have 4 IO salt buckets with lids, 3 HD buckets, 2 Lowe’s, a few 2g & 3g white buckets for coral dipping and transferring/acclimating, glass Pyrex for dipping... Bucket for dirty socks, bucket for taking my equipment up from the basement to wash everything in freshwater, huge Rubbermaid with excess dry rock, another bucket with saltwater and rubble for gluing frags, brute can x2......it’s unreal. I’m the wife, hubby thinks I’m a hoarder but he’s a hot wheel collector so he doesn’t give me too much grief.

I have 1 bucket that I use for everything, but I cheat. I have a drain system going into my plumbing for doing water changes and I have a 55 gallon barrel for fresh salt water with a pump in it and a long hose for refilling my tank

I have 3 white buckets from lowes. and 2 10g Brute cans I use for water changes

I have 6, 5 gal Home Depot buckets. 6, 5 gal jugs and 2, 15 gal blue jugs from CAL Ranch. And 3, 5 gal salt buckets. Looking at doing my own RODI into a 55 gal blue drum and cut back buckets.

I currently have 2 Home Depot and 2 IO white ones. When the IO Reef crystals were on sale on Amazon I bought 3 buckets so as I those to look forward to!
