So I had a tank that had a bunch of fish that hid or picked on each other... It was very stressful and disappointing to observe. I constanly worried about fish being killed by each other...
So two things happened in the last month...
1. I knocked half my reef down trying to unwedge my electric blue hermit crab and as you all know the reefs never go back the same way, no matter how many hours you play around with it. lol! That seemed to lesson the agressive behavior, but not the hiding.
2. Bought a new fish, let my LFS talk me into a sailfin tang, even though he'll be transplanted into a much bigger tank 6-8 months later (he'll be going into a friend's 400 gallon tank) I really think they are very pretty.

This sailfin tang is so cool to watch and for whatever reason seems to put her tank mates at ease. These guys have all been out swimming all over and the biggest thing is they aren't beating the tar out of each other.
Anyone have anything like this happen? I wish all this would have happened a few months ago... Our tank is so enjoyable to watch now!!!
And no I'm not promoting to anyone this is how to fix your issue... Ours was just a freak train of events that turned out lucky for us.
Just interested in your thoughts...
