I need advice on budget friendly lighting for a 30 Gallon reef. I can find lights on Amazon and Ebay that say they’re reef compatible and they’re only £30! But they are only 13-16W which seems like no where near enough? I want my corals to be able to grow abs thrive. Any advice welcomed - Noah

I also use the viparspectra over my 30 gallon. Got it for around $100 on ebay. I have zoas, LPS, and easy SPS, and they are doing well under it

If looking for cheap reef lighting the viparspectra is a good choice. I have two 300 watt ones over my tank and like them. I wish they had more control other than just turning on and off the two channels at a set brightness, but for the price you can't have everything

Yeah I have one 165w version. It also lets you set the brightness setting and when to turn on and off the lights. I just got it in September though, so I can't speak on how it is long-term.
