I'm looking to set up my first macro display tank. It is a 12 cube and I don't want to break the bank on the light alone. I have seen some lights go for $200+. I would like semi controllable.

Any suggestions with links would be helpful thank you

$100 mars aqua black box on mine. 2 channel controlable.
Running 30% white 40% blue.

Omg!! Your sump looks better than some displays! That is just beautiful. How long have these been up?
Macro growout for a while now. Sump is just at about a week setup, with that sump. It was previously setup and running that light for almost a year. Note: Less rock in old setup, as it was just a DIY 40 breeder, hence the nice white rock in there now.

Here is what I am using:

It grows Sea lettuce (Ulva) very well, though there is no controllability and it requires a separate timer and E26 socket.
