I have a 36x36x24 cube looking for recommendation for a wave maker preferably a laminar flow…

Upvote for hygger mini. It’s a pain to setup but works really well for around 70-80 dollars.

Which model. I found a cross flow 180 for a good deal but afraid it might be too strong

Yep I wouldn't put this on a 36x36. It'd be to much. The CP-25 should be plenty if that's the style wavemaker your looking for.. there are a decent amount of options though to keep you under the 150.

As long as you can adjust you can always overpower your wavemaker and just not set it as high (DC only, doesn't not apply to an AC version).

Comparable to the jebaos? I didn't know enough about the hygger when I last bought one so I stuck with jebao Vs trying the hygger since the price wasn't significantly different.

I’ve never used a jebao, but the hygger mini appears to have more flow type options than the comparable jebao. I bought mine used and have run it for 3-4 months. I clean it once every 1-2 months.

Iv been running one for 8 months no issues

Amazon has tons of cheap wavemakers. Look for one with about 2500 - 3000 gph. Brand doesn't matter much....they are all the same knockoffs with different branding.
