I picked up a nuvo fusion 10G the other day for cheap, but it has some scratches in it. They are not deep but they are noticeable for sure. Since it is starfire glass is there any way to buff them out?

Since it's glass, basically the answer is no. You can buff out the scratches with an orbital sander, but it leaves the glass warped to look through. Then you have to 'feather out' the edges so you don't notice the warp. It would cost a lot of time/money/materials and not be worth it on a small tank.

Thanks for the reply. I have read some articles and watched some videos of people using cerium oxide to buff out scratches. Some said it worked and others said it did not work. I did not know if it would work on starfire glass or not.

For the type you are describing, NOVUS acrylic scratch remover kit should do it

Acrylic scratch remover will not work on glass. Glass scratch remover in most cases will not work on glass.
I thought we were talking acrylic
An auto glass shop has some type of rouge for removing scratches
