boxelder, is how I think you spell it, died in my filtration chamber, scooped it out, should everything be fine? I’m running carbon atm too

Well you say you scooped it out, so it likely didn't have much time to decompose. Plus it's just a little bug. They don't seem to be particularly venomous or poisonous so that should be a non issue as well. Nothing to worry about
 
Its a box elder AKA stink bug. Better it’s dead as they leave a heck if an odor.
NET IT AND FORGET IT
 
The nitrifying bacteria colony in your tank would have dealt with it if it went unnoticed. You found it and pulled it out... no worries.
 
I was cleaning and re-filling a dosing container and discovered a dead moth. Not sure how long it was in there but no obvious effects on the tank. Unless it was the moth that caused everything to finally start looking good and growing....
