A friend of mine is breaking his tank down slowly and he said I can have all his hermit crabs and shrimps.

But his tank was and still is infected with red bugs. Should i be worry about introduce them in to my tank?

Lots of people have them there treated with interceptor. I think there only bad in plague proportions blocking light from corals. Careful with interceptor!!

I wouldn't think that the redbugs would be on the inverts? Never had them though so I can't say for sure.

The red bugs should only be on the acros and not the inverts. They could in face be in the water so that could be something to worry about. If you treat with interceptor it will be fine. I've had red bugs before and they're a breeze to deal with compared to other pests out there.

yes if he treat with interceptor, all hermit and shrimp gona die so

Why not qt them for a few weeks just get a 10 gallon tank and heater. You would think if there no acros in the qt tank the red bugs will die. My understanding is we as reefers don't know the life cycle of red bugs. Do eggs or larvae float in water. That is why when you do red bug treatment you treat everything that comes in contact with your tank. Protein skimmer, media and other type of reactors
