Bugs on frogspawn

I cant make out any detail to say what they are . Do you see any damage on the skeleton of the frogspawn? They are quick moving buggers so not sea spiders.

Able to get a better close up? They definitely an arthropod from how they are moving.

Has alkalinity or salinity been measured recently? Any changes in flow?

I wasn't able to pull up the video, but I might've had something similar on a pectinia. There were dozens, if not hundreds, of the tiniest pods crawling all over the tissue. The coral was receding and barely expanded. The previous owner tried several dips to no avail. What dips have you tried?

I got a sample of the pods and looked at them under a microscope. I wasn't able to ID them, but they looked like some of the other gray/black bugs in the hobby. I did a series treatment of Bayer dips about every 3 days for a few weeks. After that, the bugs were gone, and the coral started expanding and regrowing.

Maybe something in there will help. Keep us posted!

I had these same bugs on my purple frogspawn a while back trued to dip with no success. I did a little research on them and found them to be harmless to the coral. I did buy a small cleaner shrimp some time after I noticed them. The small shrimp ended up picking them off. Haven’t seen them since.

Water is stable and flow is good. I might try the bayer dip. Never done it before. Heard it's easy and cheap. I'll have to read up on it

It's incredibly easy. I've been using it since 2011 with no problems (only much better results than any other dip.) People use varying strengths, but I tend to use 0.5ml (up to 1ml if there's a big problem) per 2 cups tank water. Some people use waaay more Bayer.
