I have hundreds of these little white bugs on my live rock. They don't appear to be on corals and they are mainly on areas with hair algae. I don't think they're copepods because they don't look like them. I could be wrong. Here are some pictures

Hard to really tell anything from pictures without magnification on things that small. How are you sure they're not pods?

They don't seem to have the normal tail thing copepods have just round. May be a different species than I've seen or had in the tank

Can someone help me and tell me if these are pods? I put some in about 8 months ago then I lost all of my so I haven't had fish for about 6 months only a few snails and crabs. Wanting to put fish back in just wasn't sure if these were pods that are in the rock, on the glass, and in the sump! Thanks

Those look to be pineapple sponges. Harmless filter feeders, but not 'pods.

pineapple sponges. They usually (in my experience) go away after a while. I had them turn up in my fuge once.
