Hey all, I've had 2 zoa frags for a few months now and they have been doing great and growing. 2 days ago the smallest frag began closing up half of its heads. Today I saw several black bugs running around on the closed heads. I'm planning on removing the frag from the rock and doing a dip tonight but what are your thoughts on the other frag? They are all open and I don't see anything on them, but is it safe to assume if one frag has them they all do?

Good grief, how on earth do you see something that small and ID it as a spider? So are they an issue by chance?
Zoa spiders (as I call them lol) are very small and look like little black bugs until you are up close to them. Some do get large enough to see from a distance, so to speak. Check out the link below and look at some of the examples of things to see if you can ID them from the list.

Yea I definitely can't see them well enough to ID what they are, all I can see are VERY tiny black dots running around when the camera is zoomed in. They do seem to be irritating the zoas as they won't fully open but they will at least partially open for now
