Ok guys i have just obtained a very nice and very new 40B with new matching stand, and guess what it was FREEEEEEEE!!!!! Ok now heres where i need your help, i need some suggestions on equipment. I already have my lights ( 6 bulb ATI T5 ) and i have powerheads ( MP-10's ), but thats all i have. I plan on making this a nice center piece aquarium for my kitchen/dining room, so its got to be nice all the way around. Id like to know what brand and models of equipment would be good for this build. I want your suggestions on everything, from size of sump to what size pump, skimmer, reactors, etc..... I am going to make this a LPS dominant tank with a few nice SPS pieces. Thanks guys im excited to hear your suggestions and ideals, Plus after i get everything based off of input and research ill make a build thread on this tank.

This is the tank I have that I am tearing down now to build my 125g RR inwall. I will say after using the 40B that I will not use it again as a DT. The first thing I do not like about it is the 1/4" deflection of the glass on the front and back since there is no center brace. I have nightmares about it cracking.

This is what I have:

40B
Eshopps RS100 sump
Eshopps PF-800 overflow
Mag 7 return pump
1 Coralife 750gph powerhead
4x39watt T5HO (cheap odyssea) 2x39w ATI Blue Plus, 1x39w ATI aquablue special, 1x39w ATI purple plus
RO BH-2000 HOB skimmer (not enough room in the sump - make SURE your stand is tall enough for a skimmer to fit under, I was 2" short)

Good luck!

Ok i prob should have mentioned this earlier this tank is not a Aqueon aquarium its a custom tank made by GlassWorks. Its 3/8 " thick glass with the front being starfire glass, unfortunately the side are just regular plate glass.

Any other suggestions before i start throwing this guy together guys?

the bigger the sump the better, so i would say 20-30gallon sump, as long as it fits.. glass-holes has great overflows and returns. but they are all drill to fit
