Perhaps you're right but there was no sign of aggression and I couldn't find any evidence of damage to his body or fins. It was touch and go with these two in the early days but they often schooled together after they got past their aggression.

So, weeks ago, almost once or twice a week, I noticed egg sacs on the glass. Today there appear to be some baby trochus snails cruising around (not a large number but a few). Anyone ever have experience with trochus reproducing?

I had a cbb and yellow tag for years with no issues. As got snail reproduction, I have always had some reproduce, however, I was never trying to get them too.

Several years ago, I had my trochus snails reproduce in the tank. I never saw egg sacs, just little snails in the sump would appear. I wish they would start up again, but no luck so far.

David, The frags are fading so I guess PM is just not possible in this tank. Weird, and I can't figure it out, as the others are all doing very well.

Thanks. the RW-8s are adequate for a 4 foot tank with two in the opposite corners. I run them in Else mode for maximum randomness and everything seems happy. Perhaps when the SPS fill out more it won't be enough but it is adequate for now.

Dave, I think @Chriscrna had some reproduce in his tank....they have grown to about typical "retail" size.

Picture is pretty accurate on the acros. Colors are a bit deeper. Of course, they're wild colonies so only time will tell how they ultimately turn out.
