I have read a lil bit on google most things said is make sure to use good silicone with right thickness of glass. Is it that easy? I got a buddy that builds viv's so he works with glass alot. I also have a buddy that owns a glass shop so can get glass for great price. So is there more to it? tricks and tips? Was thinking of having him build me a cube and putting some water with just rock in it for a few weeks just to make sure lol.

Since you have a connection for glass, have him get starfire for the front at least if not for the sides as well. Depending on height 1/2" is fine

It is really quite easy to do as long as you get the right silicone and the right glass thickness. There is a few things to figure out like the euro bracing and that the edges are properly cleaned. I have built all my own tanks from 55 gallon to 400 gallon. In fact right now I am building a 150 gallon out of 3/8 glass.

The silicone that a lot of tank manufacturers use is GE scs1200 this is what I use on all my tanks.

I use the ge #1 or 2 as long as it's 100% silicone your fine I built my 350 with it and havnt had any issues
