So my boss had a 180 gallon tank that hadn't been taken care of in god knows how long. So far I have the whole thing stripped down and cleaned out.

What do you all recommend I do with this live rock? And any concepts on the sump?

I plan on do a basic sock filter intake with a refugium center. Breed brine shrimp and pods in it and then a skimmer on the return side.

Good job on that snag!! I would place the rock into a trash can or bin with saltwater. This way the bacteria will still be alive and in return your tank will mature a little faster!

I plan on just blasting all the crap algae off with a hose lol and then soaking them for a bit. How should I keep all that slime algae crap from coming back?

Once you rinse all the algae off and put them in bins just don’t keep lights on them. Keep the rocks stored dark and you won’t have any algae issues.
