Hello everyone,
I currently have a 125g saltwater tank that I have some live rock, live sand, and 3 damsels in it. I tried growing corals in this tank, but they didn't grow.
I have a smaller tank that I'm thinking about making into a reef aquarium, and would like your opinions as to if this will work.

I'd like to put live rock and corals in the smaller tank and grow them. And then once they are more matured, move them to my 125g tank.

Is this possible?

Thanks

Hi,
I would first check what the reason might be for your corals not growing, my guess is insufficient lighting and/or low nutrition, but you do have some livestock to provide the latter. I don't know what corals you have but some of them require specific food or even feeding them.
I'm not the expert so hopefully some of the more experienced reefers will give you some tips.
But i think it's better to first solve that tank's problem before starting another, because if you do get growth in the smaller tank, and then put them over into the bigger one, they will stop growing again as long as nothing changed in there.
